nwhiker1. I am sickened by the Paris 2014 logo. To all those female athletes: I hope you pack your lipstick, so you can live up to the image that the fucking sexists want. Yes, it's supposed to be Marianne, the personification of the French republic, but she is usually represented by a greco-roman type image, and a bit of a bad-ass, not an inspired by (Nazi-sympathizer) Coco Chanel, with a sexy little "moue". And yes, flame, and yes, gold medal, and yes, shampoo ad. But overall... yet another objectifying image of a sexy woman. Fuck. That. Shit. And if you don't think the sexist imagery was planned for.... well, I have a tower on the Champ de Mars to sell...
In the interest of full disclosure: I love the font they chose. And I truly wish they'd stayed with the clever Eiffel Tower/24 mashup that they had before.
