I thought the Ramada Inn last night was old and groddy.
I'd seen nothing yet.
I'm in a Super 8 tonight. The reviews weren't terrible, the photos were carefully take to hide a bunch of sins, and this place REEKS of smoke, both decades old and new. My eyes are already irritated, and since I already have a cold, I'm not expecting a good night sleep.
I'm really annoyed with Expedia. There were other hotels at half the price in town, but we went with the more expensive room because of the property description was, quite frankly, misleading.
Ugh.
Also, street level room with a fucking EXTERIOR door. And window. That always freaking the hell out of me. I have the window open right now to try to and get some fresh air in here, but I'll have to close it before going to bed.
Also, like the Ramada Inn last night: not a single accessible outlet to be found. Seriously. I'm going to have to crawl on the floor to attempt to plug into the outlet that is behind the TV credenza. Rilly?
This after a highly rated pizza place in town served the most awful pizza I have EVER had. Aside maybe Totino's, but at least Totino's is cheap!
But in the bright side, we found a great place for lunch in Burley, ID. Food was pretty damn good, and the decor was really neat, renovated old brick warehouse, but done warm, not warehouse style, if that makes sense.
