The skylight saga: end?

We had three skylights in the house pre-remodel. They were old, dating from the mid-nineties, but didn't leak too badly, so we didn't replace them with the remodel.
The remodel added two additional ones, placed above the kitchen. We opted at the time against opening models based on some reviews (which I can't locate right now, but the gist of it was open skylight, rain sensor didn't close, and not enough solar power stored up to close them). Figured when the tech got better, we'd upgrade.
During the remodel, they re-did the roof.
During a NW windstorm, all of a sudden, we hear a gigantic CRASH! and... something changes in the room. Oh. There is a hole in the roof. Dh (and Perry, who will never pass up an opportunity to climb on a roof) climbed up to investigate. Turns out one of the old skylights had... blown off. And blown into one of the other old skylights. Both were broken.
Further investigation showed that the MORONS hired by the remodelling company to do the roof... never screwed the skylights back in. Fuckers.
At least it wasn't raining. Duct tape patched things up, and dh and Perry got the skylights back in place.
We've been planing on replacing the skylights since, but what with the other urgent project the stupid fucking remodelling left us with, since nothing was leaking, it wasn't a prio.
We finally did it yesterday.
Bought: three opening skylights. Removed the three old ones. Played musical skylights, moving the remodel non-opening ones to places where the old ones that shouldn't ever need to be open were and installing three opening ones in places where they'll help the house airflow.
Whee!
