Am I insane?

That's a... distinct possibility.
We're considering doing STP again. 203 miles, two days, two kids? Actually, Perry is of course game (*) and I'm trying to persuade Linnea. Anne-Chloe has become an out of shape lump with an out of shape loser BF, so I don't think she'd be interested.... and none of dh, Perry, nor I would want the bf tagging along, so not happening.
(*) Perry is always game for anything physical. Hikes, bike rides, snow shoeing, whatever. It's one of the reasons, I think, we miss him so much. An adventure? Sure! He's on it.
The part I hate the most about STP is waking up the day of, at 3am, usually after not having gotten enough sleep. So there is that.
There is also the difficult part for me, the condescending people who tell the fattie "good job!" and stuff like that. That always breaks me a bit.
Still, overall, it can be fun. And the training is fun.
It was great family time, and I have to say, put a very strong foundation on both dh's and my bond with Perry, when he was an adorable 11 year old on his very little road bike.
If she does it, Linnea will ride that very same road bike.
EEEK!
ETA. OMG. Linnea is doing it, she says, and she's busy getting together the @s and #s to make sure her ride ends up properly indexed on Instagram. OMG.
