FIL is doing much better, the neurologist says his progress has been "extraordinary". That's the good news. The bad news is that dh missed rounds, so didn't get to talk to anyone and is getting everything second hand. From FIL. Heh.

But dh has noted that his dad is doing much better.

The bad news is that dh will probably not be able to make his flight Tuesday morning, and with the holiday, that means at least an additional week down there.

Since many of our plans require two adult, this is no fun. Namely, we need my mother and my aunt to be at two different train stations, not many miles apart, but hours because of the commute, at pretty much... the same time on Monday morning. I don't know how I'm going to manage that. It's rush hour so I can't ask my MIL to drive, she gets flustered in rush hour freeway traffic. I may have to ask Anne-Chloe.

Then there are the turkeys. This is funny. We'd planned on smoking the turkeys, so we bought two small ones. Neither are enough to feed the crowd that will be here. I'm not sure I can fit both in my inside oven. I don't know HOW to smoke the turkeys myself. So I might... freeze the small turkeys and buy a bigger one so I can just throw it in the oven, SO much easier.

And... in less fun news, the stupid tire pressure sensor on the Prius is on. I checked tire pressure and 3 are at an ok pressure, the other about 2PSI below. I'll have to figure out later how to drag the air compressor out of the garage and get air in the damn tires. Hopefully that'll solve the problem. If not, I get to spend several hours cooling my heels at the tire place tomorrow morning. Since nothing is open today.

To add to the misery, and I owe my MIL a BIG thank you on this one, Linnea has the stupid mouse trap car project due next week. She was already late on it, and she and dh had Plans, but that wasn't happening. At this point, MIL is helping her build a car, and I should be the one, but too much crap to do, and I am terrible at that type of crafty project and MIL is good means it makes more sense.

I tell ya... between my knee meaning I've not been at 100%, dh gone, AC and Perry gone, this Thanksgiving prep is very... bizarre. Heh.
