Happy EEEEK!

Everyone in my family bailed on Christmas in Arizona or California, our original plan, a while back. No,too expensive. Not, want to go some place even warmer. My brother and I were still considering something, but then my SIL had to make an unexpected trip to New Zealand for a funeral and his travel budget evaporated.
But.
I texted bro and told them if they wanted to come here, they were welcome to, they can stay with me and borrow a car.
He said he'd think about it.
And yup. They're coming. I get to have my niece and nephew here for Christmas! My kids are all thrilled.
AND my sister and niece are coming. With my niece's boyfriend. (Maybe AC will take notice about what a good relationship looks like, fingers crossed.)
My mom and aunt will be here as well.
I'll be cramming some of them in with me, some not, I'm suspecting Perry is going to have to sleep under the piano! :-)
Whee! SO excited. And I may really push dh to take a few days off in early December to see if we can finish our bathroom. There is a lot of work, but it would be preferable not to have just one shower with 10 or so people in the house!
We're gonna DECORATE the hell out of this place!
Also, in a completely un-related note. I get my kids ornaments every year, often from a trip or something important we'd done that year. Last year, Perry got a Head of the Charles ornament, as a bonus, and my plan was to fine eclipse ornaments for all the kids. Never did, so I finally, thanks to a 50% off coupon from Shutterfly, made some. Eclipse photo (stolen from NASA, taken from near where we were) on one side, topo map with our campsite are in the center, date and place added. I'm quite pleased with the results, AND I can cross that off of my mental LONG LONG TERM to-do list!
OK. Steady, girl.
I need to get Thanksgiving over before I freak out about Christmas!
Perry doesn't have lab on Tuesday (which his mother suggested he would not, but he insisted he did) so I'll go to the lab in the morning, pick up my aunt, spend a bit of time on campus with her, and pick up Perry after his last class. Then we'll head home! I've got cleaners (thanks amazon! Hopefully this will work...) scheduled for that day, I wasn't able to do as much cleaning prep in advance as I'd normally do because of my knee. Dh will have picked up my mom at the train station.
And so it will be begin.
Expect hair being torn out sounds from the north west corner of the country!

Before I forget. My knee, two weeks out. Still some patches of swelling where I did soft tissue injury, but the knee itself is in MUCH better shape. Each time I got to school, I've been parking a bit further out, and I think I can slowly, on FLAT ground, start doing some walking again. I've even done some stairs, though mainly at the uni, because they have good hand rails on both sides in case. So good there too.
OK. Must go do stuff.
