Weepy and upset.
3 Nov 2018 14:45I sprained my knee -NOT BADLY- yesterday.
It was raining, a bunch of leaves had come down, and on a downhill I did not notice a large rocks covered with slippery leaves.
Down I went.
Some swelling on my leg, so some bruising, and I pulled the rear ligaments of my knee. Feh.
I was doing about a 4 mile loop trail and needless to say, I was at the furthest point I could be. So I just finished up, cutting off an extra small loop at the end, needless to say. It was... pretty miserable and hurt.
Stiff and very sore today. Not walking all that well.
As best I can tell, there is no permanent damage and I should be fine in a few weeks.
In the meanwhile, though, WTF am I going to do for exercise... and how the hell am I doing to get to the biology building, since I cannot walk from the closer student lot, let alone the spot off campus I've been parking in.
Hopefully, I'm back to being able to walk soon.
I HATE this shit. I'm weepy and upset today, and needless to say, ate a whole bunch of chocolate. Which is going to make next week's weigh in pretty miserable as well. ARGH.

Date: 4 Nov 2018 02:04 (UTC)I had a running wipeout back in September - slipped on loose dirt I guess, in a parking lot, and got serious amounts of road rash on both legs and both arms and a hand. (Still have a tiny scab under one knee.) But I didn't pull or sprain anything, so that was a relief - but for the microseconds it took to fall, i was imagining that something was going to break and i wasn't going to get to run my HM. And if I'd had money in a pocket, I totally would have fed my misery as I walked home!
I hope you are able to find a way to get from your lot to your building. I gather there are no shuttles on campus. Do they have any transport services for disabled students? Sometimes an injury makes able to use them temporarily.
