nwhikerWhen we went to Linnea's beginning of season parents of rowers meeting, the club gave all the parents small gift. With a few Sammamish Rowing Association stickers, a key lanyard, and... a bright! red! MAGASRA hat.
The idea is for parents to wear the hats to regattas, so we can find each other. Rowing is a pisspoor spectator sport, so it was truly an excellent idea.
Except... yeah, NOPE NOPE NOPE. You won't catch me, or dh, DEAD in a bright red baseball cap. Sorry. Aside from the S with an oar on the front, it looks exactly like it's evil twin.

Date: 4 Nov 2018 02:11 (UTC)I saw some recent photos of Pioneer crew and noticed they still have the neon yellow-green stripes on the sides of their unis (school colors are purple, black, and white), 6 years later. We still have C's neon hat - I wonder if the parents wear them to find each other?
