The bunny shooter.

When we leave our gate, we go down and then up a hill. At the bottom of the hill there are blackberry thickets on both sides of the road.
In those thickets is what we call the bunny shooter.
Close to every day as we drive out, a bunny runs from one side of the street to the other. Directions are random.
The bunny shooter is occasionally a squirrel shooter, but overall, bunnies are the most common projectile. Ejectile? Squirrels are just a minor, random variation.
Anyhow, a few weeks ago as I was leaving... a coyote popped out.
That, we decided, was a major malfunction of the bunny shooter.
Do not like coyote shooters.
(And yes, we have coyote, bears, and cougars in the area. Keep your cats inside, people!)
