Linnea at homecoming
20 Oct 2018 20:26She's at homecoming with her friends. At least I hope there is more than the one friend that I don't like or trust much, but eh, it's at her school, and supposedly well supervised.
Finding a dress was easy-peasy. Finding shoes, otoh.... she's in a size that does not appear to be very popular: biggest kids, smallest woman's, and nobody had much inventory for her. Plus her feet are small but alas, like mine, wide. This makes things hard to fit. So it was a frustrating failure after failure. We did find a pair at Target (kids department) but nobody really liked them, and I'll return them tomorrow, but we had them. Anyhow in addition to Target, we went to 6 stores, which is ridiculous and we snapped and snarled at each other quite a bit.
See Linnea will lie through her teeth to buy something, Anything! to make sure she has it. Even if it doens't fit. Or she doesn't really like it. When she gets into one of those dragon-ish "Acquire!" moods, it's very hard to deal with her.
We finally found a decent pair today, and not even too expensive.
Perry braided her hair for her (in the back, so you can't see it from the photos), I think she has some lipstick on, and she looked, imo, lovely.

Fingers crossed that she has a good time and doesn't have to deal with any rowdy or otherwise deplorable behaviour.

Date: 21 Oct 2018 19:06 (UTC)Toby went to homecoming with a bunch of guys - and lost track of them when they walked in the door. He spent most of the time looking for them and ended up hating it as a result. (And apparently he didn't explore the school to find the food table or the inflatable bumper cars [and who knows what else was in that inflatables space].)
