WTF April????

nwhikerThis was taken Sunday. It's not hail, but graupel.
That crap was still all over the ground yesterday morning and we ended up going on our walk yesterday evening. We saw several trillium in kinda bloom, about a week later than usual, but it was too dark to get photos and they were closed anyhow.
More frozen white stuff fell from the sky last night.
Went back for a walk this morning.Dh got a few photos.
And here is one of the poor trilliums, with dh's hand. BTW, he did check to make sure that the plant was supple enough to gently move it to take the photo.
So yeah. April. I don't mind it that much, except that when we get these late cool springs I'm always concerned about going from yay cool spring to NASTY HOT SUMMER with no transition.
