Ugh, annoyed

nwhikerI had a really pretty shirt that I'd have worn to the bday party for my aunt next Sunday, but I snagged it on a door handle and into the clothes recycling bin it went. I have another shirt, not nearly as nice, but eh, it would have meant no shopping, so I planned on wearing in.
Then I found a shirt I really liked at Nordstrom's. A bit expensive, but I considered and finally decided I'd get it... then I noticed: the fat size was $89.99, but the straight sizes was marked down to $26. Now I get the fat tax, but come on, that's a bit egregious. And made even more so by the fact that they were suggesting to cheaper on on the more expensive one's page. I mean, really?
Yeah, NSM on ordering it.
I stewed, grumpy, for 24 hours, then reached out on twitter with a WTF, I'd get a bit more expensive, but this is a lot more. She offered to adjust the price if I ordered it, so I did.
At that point, it was supposed to arrive between Wed and Sat. If it got here Sat, I'd be SOL, but I figured it was worth a change that it would, in fact get here on time.
Today I got the shipping notification: not expected before next Monday at the earliest which is even beyond their worse case scenario for when I ordered it, sigh.
Why didn't I pay for expedited shipping? That's the sad thing. I never even thought about it, which is really dumb, I should have, but it never even crossed my mind. I am quite annoyed with myself.
Ah well. We shall see. I don't think I'll get it in time, but who knows?
ETA. The Postal Service, who is handling the delivery says I should have the package by Thursday. LOL. After all that, it's probably not going to fit!
ETA Again: shirt arrived and fits perfectly. A tiny bit long on the sleeves, but aside from that, it's awesome. As bright as I'd hoped. Phew.
