So. SIL called to say she was sick, but she'd come anyhow and wear a mask. I guess she felt worse later in the day and opted not to come after all.

She did, however, have MIL bring her son. He'd been sick with fever a few days before, tested (-) for Covid, and was "fine" now.

JFC. If we all get sick, I'm going to be really pissed. Because the kid was not fine. He was coughing non-stop, going to hide in the bathroom for prolonged coughing fits, and was listless and not his usual self. :( Poor kid. I can't imagine he enjoyed himself much.

I'd have sent him home, but that would have dire consequences to my relationship with MIL, since dh didn't seem concerned at all.

Who the fuck sends a sick coughing kid to Thanksgiving? Oh wait, my dumb bitch of a SIL. I mean, we would have sent food over for them. I mean, we did for SIL plus plenty of leftovers.
