I'm finally starting to feel better. I was able to get some Tylenol down and have it stay down a few hours ago, and the fever has broken. Head is still a bit achy, but I feel SO much better than last night or this morning!

All I can think is... if my body hates the vaccine this badly, I can't even imagine the systemic revolt if I actually got Covid. So eh.

Rebecca Watson, who I respect etc, has data to show that Tylenol is a crap medicine that doesn't work. It's an interesting and perhaps accurate take... but Tylenol works for me, and always has, so I'll keep taking it. Maybe it's placebo, but the fever does break, and maybe it's because by the time I can take Tylenol, I'm already heading towards feeling better... but OTOH, I can't take Motrin until much later in the course of any upset (vaccine reaction, migraine stuff like that) because it's hard on the stomach so one would think it would work better, but it doesn't. I will fess up to guzzling liquid Motrin at times, and that works better than the pills, but overall, Tylenol is better. Heh.

Why I Think Tylenol is Both Dangerous & Useless by Rebecca Watson.

ETA The feeling better didn't last long. Chills and bodyaches got worse as the afternoon progressed. Blah.

ETA That above update was from about 6pm or so last night. This one is from about 8am, the next morning, so 44 or so hours post vaccine. The (last, I hope) fever broke last night at about 2am, so roughly 36 hours post shot, with a puddle of sweat that left the sheets soaked, yuck. But. As I got up to go pee I felt... normal. 100% normal. Not a bit shaky, not feeling better, but like the whole thing had not happened. So eh. SO SO glad this vaccine is in the arm, so to speak!
