Innocence

King County numbers on covid have gone up 33% in cases over the past week. Hospitalizations are up 35%. Death is a lagging indicator, but are still down about 36%.

The next few weeks may not be pretty.

Our state Secretary of Health is saying yay, things are looking good.

However... the bottom of an exponential looks very innocent indeed.

Friday evening...

Oooh boy.

Friday evening, I am feeding rowers. Male rowers. A half dozen male rowers.

I think it'll be ok. I've done four before and they haven't starved, so I think I can do five. The biggest problem is that one of them is vegetarian, and I can work around that, though he may get an Impossible Burger sloppy joe rather than pulled pork.

Coleslaw without mayo, maybe a corn and avocade salad, and then some easy dessert. Velveeta and salsa with nacho chips to start off. Unless dh or Perry has a better suggestion.

Friday I will also be baking. I have to bring cookies and bars for the team "dessert" for after the regatta. Chocolate chip, oatmeal, both plan and chocolate chip (*), and brownies for sure. Maybe a vanilla cake, which I am tempted to make and decorate with a WWU oar design, which is blue and white and most importantly, easy.

(*) My son loves oatmeal raisin. I cannot. Cannot.
