Spoiled cat

The water is refilled every day. I guess the cat-staff were late this morning, because this spoiled cat refused to drink from the dish because the waterfall wasn't running! Photo credit dh.

Could this be?

Could we actually have hired decent contractors? Our past track record has been horrid, even when they came with stellar reputations and great reviews. This time I called five places, and these were the only people to bother to get back to me... on the other hand, again, good reviews on the local times, and highly praised on nextdoor.

The project was stupid expensive, and we kept expanding it, since once they were on the ground, seeing how they worked, it was easier to offer more $$ to get something done now that would eat up several of dh and Perry's weekends this summer (I don't touch things like asphalt saws!)

We wanted pavers under the deck, but since the septic system is partly under it, that wasn't possible... so gravel it is, and we'll eventually "float" a deck on top.
