I made a Smitten Kitchen recipe the other day: Summer Squash Pizza.

It was delish. Seriously good.

I had to use cheddar and a bit of parm because I was out of gruyère and officially at that point not allowed to go get any, and I did add a big pinch of cayenne. Aside from that, I had it as it and it is one of the simplest most delish recipes I've ever made.

Highly recommend. I mean... I was making my shopping list and asked dh and the kids if we needed anything and everyone pretty much said "Zucchini!"

Back to the doctor again with Perry tomorrow. It's like visit number 4 in a week and things are still not really getting better.

His fever still won't stay down without meds, he's been on various abx for over a week with little to no improvement, and at this point all tests are negative (covid, full respiratory panel, and second and third strep tests, but the latter could be due the abx causing a negative test).

The fever is kinda scary.

Anyhow, full blood panel and chest x-ray are on the docket for tomorrow if we can get in anywhere. Nobody wants to see anyone with a fever, so you just can't go any lab. :P

I'm getting really nervous. I still don't think it's covid, but I don't know what it is, and the high unexplained fevers are fucking scary.

At least, even without meds, he's usually not going above 104F. The 106+F from this weekend was pretty scary.

Note that he's reached the feeling sorry for himself and whiney phase. The other thing, and the doctor noted that on Monday, he isn't presenting as someone who is really really sick. He's got a fever, but even when it's up he's alert and engaged etc. His bp etc are all ok. But still, fever, and he's sick. Just not worrisome sick, excpet that it's lasted so long.
