My spouse is... incredibly productive. While I struggle to get a few minutes of thesis writing/revising done before my brain rots, he's at his computer, ready to work at 8:30am, eats lunch while checking email, and usually finishes his day between 6:30 and 7pm. I just cannot.
Apparently he isn't the only one putting in long hours because they've all been given a mandatory long weekend. As in, Thursday and Friday are "mandatory" vacation days, and with Monday tagging along, that's a nice chunk of time off.
Of course, we can't go anywhere.
The initial and exciting plan was to get Perry does again and continue work on the garden etc.
But we have to be adults, suck it up and do the work we don't truly want to do: get the storage shed with my FIL's stuff in it dealt with. It's costing $$.
Idea right now is to take things that (supposedly) have a home to their place: the rest of the books to my SIL, Mary's (FIL's mother) wine glasses to me (he'd asked me if I wanted them, and I said yes, so I feel no need to offer them to my SIL). Some of the stuff will be easy, some will be difficult. If we can get all the stuff/boxes out, the small bits of furniture that are left can be photographed there. We'll try to sell it if we can, otherwise it'll be donated. It's some 1920s stuff that belonged, again, to Mary. We'll see.
I anticipate a not fun weekend, but it has to get done.
