Perry and I were talking about this the other day, and I was emailing this article and some additional stuff to him. So I figured I'd cut and paste most of it here! :)

Sensitivity is the measure of positive results that are actually positives, so a test with a good sensitivity would give a low number of false negatives.

Specificity is the measure of negatives that are actually negative.

A good test has both high sensitivity and specificity.

Difference Between Sensitivity and Specificity.

Regardless of if we eventually get testing to a high enough degree to actually, like, leave the house, this is a good article on sensitivity and specificity, and the consequences of false positives and false negatives.
