UW going to online only

UW is going to online classes only.

Poor AC, it's her last quarter... talk about a bi of a letdown on the end of a college career. But eh, probably safer for students/profs/staff, especially since there is already at least one case.

Scary stuff, still.

ETA Yeah, she texted, she's sad. Especially since she is taking a medical microbiology lab class that is pretty much the capstone class of the program (which is one of the world's best), and she was doing really well and having a great time. What sucks even more is that students who do well in that class typically get a recommendation for being accepted into/for some other program/lab certificate thingie (I'm not clear on the details) and she was on track for that. I don't know if they'll still follow through.

Scale of 0-10

Someone asked on twitter "On a scale of 0-10, how is Trump doing on Covid-19 response?"

0 would be fine. 0 would be doing, well, nothing. The scientific community could take over, and get the message out.

The ratings should go negative, and somewhere around -9 is where Trump would be. His actions are actively harmful, and well this all shakes out, he will be responsible for deaths that should not have occurred. Realistically, he already is.
