Poor kids...

Today in Linnea's boat... her cox doesn't appear capable of much independent thought, and when her cox box broke, she was unable to look around and see that, um, they'd not gotten to the second turn, yet (and despite the finish line being right past the Big Island that is in the middle of the lake, ya know which should have given her a clue as to where they were) so she called for their "final" sprint with.... 2km to go.

The stroke seat was NOT happy, and they were all exhausted and pissy when they got in.

This is why the train is so problematic...

Perry's train back to uni is going to arrive an hour late. Which is.... 45 minutes past the last bus of the evening. AND the university night shuttle doesn't go anywhere NEAR the train station. No matter what, at best, he'll get into Bellingham at 10, and have at least an hour of shuttling around, probably closer to 90 minutes, before he can drop into bed.

He needs to be up tomorrow morning at 4am.

This morning, he was up at 4am.

This is not going to end well. Because the train is late and there is no coordination between train and bus and the university doesn't see fit to have the night shuttle run from the town's train station to the uni.

Ugh.
