WTF body?

Under a cut because discussion of weight loss etc.

Did the first Zepbound/tirzepatide injection on Friday.

So far, no side effects.

No effect either.

Well, except for not changing my eating and being up 3 lbs between yesterday and today.

Sigh.

I'll just keep on keeping on. It's not like I have a choice.

One of the cases we’ve done in the past with pharmacy students is about semiglutide for diabetes management. When we do drug counseling cases, I often think ”I’ve never had a pharmacist do any drug counseling ever.” [alhough tbf is not 100% accurate, but almost.] So I’m curious, did someone go over what to expect (effects and side effects etc) or did you get that on your own reading the pamphlet?

Fingers crossed it starts working. Is this one they “titrate up” once they make sure you don’t have negative side effects, or do they start with full dose? (“titrate up” earns a “watch your jargon” from me :-)

I'm glad to know some pharmacists do counseling! We primarily use Target, and the assistant does at least always ask if I have questions for the pharmacist. And I remember I got some minimal counseling the first time I picked up an antidepressant (not at Target). Since it was probably 18 years ago i don't remember all the details, but I know it wasn't as extensive as what we expect the students to do in those cases. In the past year or two I have gone to the counter to ask questions about an OTC product and got minimal responses (one almost felt like a brush off).
