Sorry about the situation with your mom. My parents initially moved to an independent living facility, part of the appeal to my mom was that she wouldn't have to cook any more! (even though their apartment had a kitchen, and they did use it some in the early years) Matthew's mom is in a high-rise independent living place in Houston, and sometimes I wonder if she should be in the memory care unit instead...
