Shades of Spring 2021
10 May 2024 20:24Really annoyed with this shit. I'm trying to get a Covid shot. I haven't had Covid yet and would like to keep it that way, so eh, a shot about now and one in the fall seems like a good plan.
The problem: I need Novavax. Nothing against the mRNA shots except... aside from the first, where I had few, the side effects are lasting longer. Last one: last time: 2.5 days of fever, body aches, and chills. Headache and nausea. Fatigue. Basically two miserable days in bed.
My last Covid shot was Novavax, and it was my first time getting that one, so maybe it was that, but the side effects were minimal: some fatigue, maybe some headache, but nothing much.
Note: side effects go away and don't leave one with long Covid, so yeah, I'll continue to vaccinate until the risk of long covid (or serious illness) is gone.
Anyhow, I want Novavax. Which seems to be unobtainable at this point.
But what is driving me bug fuck: nobody wants to schedule over the phone, and so I'm left to the websites. They claim to have Novavax. I schedule. I go to the appointment where....
"You said you wanted Novavax, but we only have Pfizer, is that ok?"
Three fucking times, at three different places I got some variation on that response.
Don't fucking lie and say you have it, and allow me to book it and waste my time going to an appointment I'm going to walk away from.
Last dude claims he can get it from another store and that he'll "call me back". Yeah. Right.
